Mad. What does that word mean, again? Dysfunctional? Unreasonable? If this is true, I'm not mad; they're the mad ones, what with their disillusioned "morals" and selective affection. In the aspect of humanity, isn't one life worth less than a thousand? In that aspect, aren't I the hero?
They tell me he saves lives, but isn't it clear that he's the one leaving destruction in his wake? Isn't he the one who created these criminals? Vigilante – I was sure this word had a negative connotation. The man who did what he wanted because he wanted to. When the world decided otherwise, I did not complain; I played the hero, too.
That was when I stole him away, just a single man, and I planned to keep him like they keep me, now – safe, restrained but safe. I wouldn't have hurt him, and the destruction and pain he caused would have ceased.
Consider it, reader: he beat men out of consciousness with his bare hands, while I merely did so with the right concoction; he's destroyed lives, buildings, and even cites, while I simply broke a window.
And they call me mad, and torture me. What are they, then? Who are they to determine the difference between the obvious? They keep me here to see those he's ruined every day. Who agree it's not fair, who agree society is tearing apart the puzzle that's already been solved.
Revenge is a harsh word.
When I escape, I will exact justice.
Pff, if I had a Batman OC, these would totally be his motives. :iconimhappyplz:

Why do I only have writer's block for everything important? -groan- Anyway, I actually wrote something with a song stuck in my head for once. "Staring at the Sun" by TV on the Radio
